Vlad and the Great Fire of London

This morning 1/2 K have been practicing the middle part of our story. They had lots of fantastic ideas for actions and were excellent performers.

Maths Super Stars

1/2K have been recognising numbers as words this afternoon and they were faaaaaaantastic!

Puddle Jumping

Thank you to all parents who have brought in wellies and waterproofs so far. We have enjoyed the rainy day this afternoon jumping in puddles. If your child does not have wellies and waterproofs in school please bring these in this week as the weather looks like it is turning and we will still be going out.

Vlad and the Great Fire of London

1/2K were very busy yesterday learning the beginning of our new text, Vlad and the Great Fire of London. To help us remember we came up with some actions and drew a story map.

Phonics superstar

Well done Oliver for engaging in phonics and recapping your learning. You recalled the sounds from last weeks learning.

You are a superstar.

Trip to Doncaster Museum (3F)

Year 3 had a fantastic trip to Doncaster Museum on Friday. In the morning, we explored the museum and enjoyed looking at the history of Doncaster. In the afternoon, we learnt more about The Celts and The romans in a mixture of workshop activities.

Family Learning

What a fabulous turn out! Thank you to all parents, carers and other family members who came along today to engage in our family learning event. Classrooms have been immersed and our final product is well on the way to completion already. It is going to look incredible.
If you have moved to Doncaster from elsewhere, and would still be willing to share your story with us, please feel free to jot a few notes down and hand into me or drop me an email. More of us have moved to Doncaster than we thought for – I’m from Hastings originally. I wonder how diverse our Plover family actually is?

We are historians: Doncaster Museum Library

What another fabulous day! So much learning covered in a fun and interactive way. The ladies who ran the workshop were incredibly impressed with the behaviour and learning attitudes of all children. You did yourselves and Plover proud guys! Well done.
