Christmas Party

Here is a link to the video of our Christmas party today. We have had lots of fun playing pass the parcel, musical bumps, eating party food and dancing. Miss Wood and Mrs Melady both hope you have a wonderful, magical Christmas! Last day tomorrow, don’t forget PM/30 hours children will be collected at 2pm.

Amazing nativity

The children blew us away with their performance skills today. They sang, signed, acted and narrated. What superstars.

LKS2 Digital Map Final Product

Here is a link to the digital map we have produced to reflect our community. It contains links to biographies and fact splats written by the children and about where some people in our community come from and what the Romans did for Doncaster.

We are hoping to have a physical sign positioned at the entrance to school soon.

Pride Of Plover

Cohen-Joe got our yellow T-shirt this week for being a perfect example of our Plover pledge! Cohen always works hard, gets smart and is a kind friend. He has swapped nursery sessions with no fuss and settled in really well, making lots of new friends. We are so proud of your resilience and hard work Cohen. Keep being a superstar!

3pm Toy Sale

We still have some toys left from our Christmas Fayre that we are kindly just asking for a small donation for. The money raised will go towards reading for pleasure books for your children and some books for Doncaster children’s hospital. The toys will be available on EYFS playground at home time, from 3pm.
Thank you for all the money raised so far!

Super Subtracting

We’ve been building up all term to learn how to subtract across 10 using column method. We cracked addition last week and the children made me so proud tackling this tricky method. Well done 2L!

Pride of Plover

It was wonderful to celebrate with our yellow t-shirt winners today. Both Bakr and Thomas have worked hard. They have been enthusiastic and have shared their learning. Thomas has worked hard on his motor skills and Bakr has shown everyone how to dance and has helped others with the words for the nativity.

We are proud of you both and hope you keep up that fantastic work.

Celebration Of Learning

We have had a lovely afternoon in the woods for our celebration of learning. Thank you so much to all of the families that came along to support us, we really appreciate it.
The children enjoyed singing to their grown ups and then hiding their pebbles, before looking for other peoples.
If you’re out and about in Sandal Beat Woods, have a look if you can see any of our pebbles and upload some pictures to the Doncaster Rocks Facebook page for others to find/re-hide.
