What do beans look like, smell like and taste like? That was the question we asked this morning. The children explored baked beans in the tough tray and made beans on toast. Their knife and fork skills are improving.

There was maths everywhere today! Outside the children were looking at numbers on the parachute and subitising the spots. Summer and Esme’ made pretend phones adding numbers. Kaya looked at the story we had read noticing that the numbers got bigger. Elle talked about how old her sister is and that she is 5 more than Elle.
Some children worked with Miss Roberts comparing the size of giant feet. They used cubes to work out how long they were.
We all looked at different sizes of paper and ordered them by how long they were.
As part of our expedition lesson we also talked about the days of the week.

We were very privileged to have the Open the Book team share a story with us today. We learnt about the world, how things are made and the people in the world. The animals and puppets were a favourite with the children.
We would like to thank the team for creating such a lovely assembly for us.

Lily, Elijah and Bailey have all worked hard today. Lily sat for register and circle. Elijah came to the carpet each session. He didn’t want to have his photo taken today. Both of them sat in assembly. Bailey wrote words for the first time on his own.
We are proud of all of them.

Inspired by The Demon Dentist, we acted out a horrifying trip to the dentist using just our facial expressions and body language.
Our Pride of Plover winner this week was Kaya. Kaya has impressed us with her attitude to learning and how she has helped others. She has been very creative and has used lots of skills. Well done Kaya.

Returning to our learning after the half term break has been exciting. Here’s some pictures of the many different activities we all had great fun with on ‘Re-hook Day’.

A Day to remember! I wonder what we will discover from our egg eggsperiment?
