A huge proud shout out to our local under 8’s football club Sandall Beat! Who completed a sponsored walk at the weekend which raised over £600 for their club and have very kindly donated some of the money to charity.
They walked to the Cenotaph at Elmfield Park, to lay a wreath for Remembrance Day on Sunday.
Most of the team are Plover Y3 superstars: Samuel, Bobby, George, Theo and Jenson.
Well done you legends! #LovePlover

Lovely to see so many KS2 children engaging in sport and physical activity at break/lunch times. Hockey, dodgeball, basketball, football and playground equipment – well done girls and boys! #LovePlover

A huge congratulations to all 23 girls who took part in the football match VS Mount Carmel after school today. You were all buzzing and despite Mount Carmel winning the match, you should all be proud of yourselves for taking part!
Please return all football tops, shorts and socks tomorrow thank you.

In English we have looked at nouns and verbs around our new text ‘Where The Poppies Now Grow’.
In expedition we were historians and have learned about Remembrance day, the significance of Poppies and recited Flanders Field poem.
In Maths we’ve learned about addition and number bonds within 10. We enjoyed problem solving games in PE.
In We Care Wednesday Crew we understood the importance of staying safe online. #LovePlover
A new half term meant new PE skills to learn. Moving on from hockey from last half term, year 6 had started their first PE lesson with team building activities and games. They are now moving onto OAA (Outdoor and Adventurous Activities) and they have already started off brilliantly with teamwork and communication to help each other. They worked in groups to solve problems and work together to complete the challenges set for them. It was a hilarious but enjoyable session as all children walked away with smiles on their faces with the teamwork and CREW they displayed today.
Super proud of year 6, well done!
