Fabulous Friday

it’s the end of a very strange week and things don’t feel the same as they normally do. Well done to all those children who have gotten on line and submitted work. I know it has been difficult as most of you are not used to typing on a key board so Friday will be ‘mopping up day’. I will set a comprehension which is not too long which will give you extra time to finish off all the literacy typing tasks.

Please make sure you have a go at all the tasks and complete them fully. Can you score 100/100??

Well done and a shout out for Oliver M, Lacey, Lacie and Marley  for their maths work. Another big shout out to Oliver H for a great letter from the dungeon master who was full of complaints!

Well done mums and dads too for helping and supporting your children in their learning.

Shout out to Charlie & Blaze!

I am overwhelmed by the amount of years 5&6 children who have written a chapter about ‘Sven & Buzz-the mischievous pugs’. I have enjoyed reading them so much tonight! A special shout out to Blaze and Charlie for such fantastic detail within their chapters! If anyone else would like to share their chapter, I’m going to display them for our return to school! I will be sharing the chapters with everyone tomorrow afternoon- so please come back and check out the blog!

Shout out for working hard!

Well done 5K – you are working hard even though I am not there to nag you! Well done Lacie B for the quality writing she has sent me. She is producing the same quality and length of work as she does in class and has not decided to be lazy! Well done Marsels on improving your  literacy but I am sure you can write more!!

Keep going 5K and check in with me every day. I love to read your critique of the day too – Luke, your critique made me smile 🙂

Morning 5/6! Your next challenge is…

Today, your teachers will be phoning you to see if you are all ok and to ask if we can support you further in any way-I can’t wait to hear from your teachers with how you are all getting on.
Your challenge today (in addition to your usual maths, literacy and expedition) is to write a chapter for my book ‘Sven and Buzz the mischievous Pugs’. You can be as creative as you wish, you can draw pictures to go along with your chapter etc. I’ll give you some context, they always go on their mischievous adventures when I’m teaching! I can’t wait to read your work to my pugs- they love listening! Please email your work to me!  There will be a ‘dip in the box’ from my treat box on your return to school for everyone who gets involved!

Super work form years 5/6

Shout outs to Ruby, Christians,Marcels, Blaze and Charlie for sending me some of their awesome home learning. On our return to school, you can each have three shop credits! I love looking at your work. I can’t wait to see who completes the rap challenge tomorrow. I am writing mine as we speak ready to share in the morning! Keep up the hard work and please keep sharing it with me!

Morning thoughts.

I will be posting a blog every morning and giving people a shout out.

Marsels has earned a shout out as he sent me a great piece of writing in the form of the letter task. Well done Marsels a fab piece of writing. Well done both Olivers  – you keep sending your work in and it is completed to a good standard.

Danir  – it is great to hear about the new car but why not surprise me with a piece of work???

Well done 5K for continuing to work. I miss seeing you all.

P.S Esmae is up and out of hibernation. She is in the garden enjoying the sun.

Shout out – well deserved too

I know I was asked to do this at the end of the day but some of my children are officially amazing I have decided. Even though they are at home and they could ignore the work set, they are busy working hard. Well done Lacie, Marley, AJ, Oliver H and Zara. You are keeping me busy and making me so proud of your commitment.

Remember to try your best  everyone else and do not do the smallest amount of work possible – I know how much you can achieve in literacy lessons!!!

Morning 5K

Good morning everyone. Hope you are well. Please could you check in so I know you are ok. There is work set which needs to be completed. You are all Year 6 in September and will be sitting your SATs. You really do need to keep up with your learning and not just game!

Thank you 5/6!

A huge thank you to all of those children who have attempted to access google classroom today. We really do appreciate the patience and support of parents/carers and children during this difficult time. This is not something we have been using for very long and we hope it becomes more straight forward as we get to grips with it.

Should any of your children have trouble accessing google classroom, please let us know! I will be in school this week and therefore, I can be contacted via both my email and by phoning the school office. I will try my best to assist everyone who needs help as quickly as possible.

I have numerous links as additional learning tools to support your children at home and we would love to see children creating work linked to our new mini topic ‘the Tudors’. Feel free to email us pictures of your children working and their finished pieces and I will blog them! You can be as creative as you wish!

We would also like to see your children creating pictures of rainbows to display in their windows to show that we are altogether and we will get through this together! Please feel free to send pictures in of these also.

Thank you again, we really do appreciate your support and patience and we are here to help!
