Wow, what a busy day! All children from 6H should arrive home today feeling very proud of themselves – yet again. Not only have they impressed me as their class teacher, but they have also received mentions from Miss Blackham and Mrs Ogle about how well they were focussing during learning time. Be proud, hold your heads high and soar 6H!

Next week, we will be moving onto multiplication and division. We are challenging you to get ahead of your learning. Anyone who can show me by Monday, that they have been practising long multiplication at home, can have one shop credit. Please bring your work to me my Monday to redeem your credit!
For the second day on the bounce, I cannot explain how proud I am of every member of 6H. They are working so hard that it is challenging for me to keep up with them. Keep going 6H – you’re fabulous!
Critiquing our own and each other’s work is a fabulous way to point out where we have been successful and how we can improve. 6H have been trying so hard to use this skill over the last few weeks and today it has happened without any prompting from me. I was amazed. Standing back and listening to two of my boys give each other verbal feedback about their work during the afternoon made my heart fill with pride. Before I knew it, there was almost a Mexican wave of critiquing which circled my room. You are awesome 6H.
Well done to the above children who have been nominated by their crews for a shout out for being awesome! All of the children have been working hard to follow the Plover pledge and their efforts have been recognised by their peers! Well done everyone! #Wearecrew
6H have begun to design and critique their own images of tigers for the calendar they are going to produce during this expedition. It was great to see all learners focused and on task this afternoon. Hopefully the critique they have written about each others’ work will enable them to make further improvements and little tweaks tomorrow.

Well done to the children above who have all been chosen by their crews for this weeks shout outs! All of the children have impressed their class mates by showing fabulous crew behaviours such as determination, resilience and hard work to name a few!
Keep up the hard work superstars!
We are crew!

This afternoon, years 5&6 children had their first crew assembly ahead of their team building trip to Austerfield tomorrow. The children learnt all about Crew and what it means to be a crew.
I can already tell this year is going to be amazing!
Keep a look out tomorrow on 5&6 class blog’s to find out about their progress at Austerfield! #Wearecrew!
CREW!
Today we have learnt a little more about the crews we will be working in this year and we are all very excited about the idea. We are also looking forward to developing our team skills at Austerfield tomorrow.
What an amazing start to a new school year! All children have been busy converting our leaning environment into a rainforest. I cannot wait to see the finished product. The teamwork they have displayed over the last two days has been phenomenal and we are all looking forward to our visit to Austerfield tomorrow.
