Get ahead with your learning

Next week, we will be moving onto multiplication and division. We are challenging you to get ahead of your learning. Anyone who can show me by Monday, that they have been practising long multiplication at home, can have one shop credit. Please bring your work to me my Monday to redeem your credit!

Awesome home learning!

I am so impressed with how many children have brought in their home learning. The quality and detail to each piece by every child is amazing! I have learnt many facts about a variety of Rain forest animals which I didn’t know before! Well done 6B- you super stars! £50 class cash to each of you who have shared your homework!

Super Susie!

All of 6B impress me daily but Susie’s artwork has blown me away! The attention to detail is amazing and she has listened to the critique from her peers and produced this stunning Polar bear! Well done Susie! £50 Class cash!

Critiquing our plans

6B have been working really hard today to ensure their narrative plans include everything they need to achieve green/blue standard. The children have been peer coaching and carefully critiquing one another’s plans. Awesome work 6B, keep it up!

Yorkshire wildlife park

Year 6 have really enjoyed their trip to YWP. They loved seeing all of the animals and learning about them. They particularly loved the painted dogs and their puppies!

They also really enjoyed the workshops and they learnt lots of facts about what the wildlife park are doing to support endangered animals.

We can’t wait to get started on our artwork next week inspired by the many beautiful species we saw today!

Recycling workshop!

This morning, 6B participated in a recycling workshop run by Doncaster council as part of our theme learning, “Our World, what are you going to do about it?”

The children learnt what packaging should go in what bin and many were stunned that there are more than one type of recycling bin! The children left the workshop very eager to encourage adults at home to take more interest in recycling!

Sketching techniques

6B have been working hard in theme today. They have been focusing on numerous sketching techniques and then trusting them on a Tortoise’s shell template. The children then critiques one another before starting another draft.

Awesome work today 6B! Keep it up!

Austerfield

6B had so much fun today at Austerfield. They participated in numerous team building activities and then they went on to den building. I am so proud of how well my class worked as a team to develop crew and each and everyone of them earned £20 class cash each!

Have a fabulous weekend 6B you deserve it! See you next week for another fabulous week! #Wearecrew
