Today we had a go at our second draft of our Artwork. The children really worked hard to do their line drawing without using the squared paper to help. We will continue these later on in the week before adding our shading techniques that we have been learning. Well done everyone!
We are kindly asking for donations for our summer fayre. Please can children come to school in non uniform on Monday 1st July and contribute towards our summer fayre. We are in need of bottled items for our very popular bottle stall. We would however, also be so grateful for any donations. All donations should be passed onto Miss Blackham.
Just a quick reminder that we are rapidly approaching the deadline to order your class photos for free delivery to school. If you would like to order your photos please remember to do so by Sunday, June 30th so that they are delivered to school free of charge by the end of term. If anyone no longer has their yellow letter please contact our photographer who will supply you with an access code ([email protected]). Thank you.
Plover School is excited to join the “Walk and Wheel Challenge” by the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority. This fun initiative gets kids walking, cycling, and wheeling to school, making travel safer and healthier.
But that’s not all! The students are also tackling a big issue – problematic parking around the school. They’ve made a video asking everyone to park considerately so driveways aren’t blocked and crossing the road stays safe.
Spread the word, watch their video, and look out for their signs around the area to support their efforts.
A Message from C29
‘This week, our school hosted the Conversation Club, shedding light on the challenges faced by refugees and asylum seekers. One major expense is transportation, but we realised that having a bike could eliminate this cost and provide free, reliable transport.
In response, we are organising a bike drive, inviting the community to donate any old bikes, which will be invaluable to those in need. You can drop off your bike donations at XP Doncaster, and we will ensure they are distributed by the Conversation Club to refugees and asylum seekers, helping to ease their daily struggles. Your support and generosity are greatly appreciated.’
Today we started our artwork using our line drawing skills. We are going to create a final drawing of the Deaf School. Today was our first attempt and we will critique and improve them in our next session.
