This half term, we’re delighted to celebrate two amazing members of 5L who have won the Half-TermlyPresentation Award for their fantastic improvement in handwriting , George and Casey!
Over the past few weeks, both children have shown real determination to make their writing neater, clearer, and more consistent. Their hard work and focus have truly paid off, and their books are a joy to read. From careful joins to beautifully formed letters, George and Casey have demonstrated the character trait of craftsmanship and quality – taking pride in their work, paying attention to detail, and striving to produce their very best every time.
Well done, George and Casey – I’m so proud of your progress, perseverance, and commitment to excellence. Keep up the brilliant effort!
We have 50 FREE Rugby tickets for adults and children, for the upcoming Doncaster Knights rugby match this Friday, 7.11.25. Please help yourselves to as many tickets as you wish. They are in the school’s main reception. #LovePlover
This week we have been learning about Autumn and the celebrations we celebrate during this period. Last week many of the children celebrated halloween. Yesterday we went on an Autumnal walk to spot the signs of Autumn. We’ve created autumnal animals. Today we had a camp fire and learnt about the history of bonfire night and how we stay safe around bonfires, fireworks and sparklers. Then we created some bonfire art. #LovePlover
What a great morning we had, by the fire. We sang songs, drank hot chocolate and stayed safe and snuggly together. We love coming to school! Mrs Bubb and Mrs Price were so proud of the children and how well they followed the fire safety instructions.
Mrs Bubb has loved teaching her new phonics group this week. They all know their set 1 single sounds and they can read words using them! They are even beginning to spell words! What a great start to this half term! #loveplover
These two superstars demonstrated courage in maths this week. They both led their own learning to complete further SATs style questions and assessed themselves as a 5 due to their hard work!
Emorie in 3G and her mum are showing real kindness by raising money to support people with caner by organising a ‘Sponsored Hair Chop’.
This is their very personal reason for taking this charitable challenge:
“This one’s for our beautiful friend, Chloe ❤️
Emorie and I have decided to do a sponsored hair chop to raise money for Chloe, who is facing cancer with incredible courage and strength. She truly is an inspiration.
Chloe is currently undergoing treatment and facing the toughest fight of her life.
As Chloe has been losing her hair through treatment, we wanted to stand beside her — so we’re giving up our hair in solidarity, raising funds to help her through her journey
We’ll also be donating our hair in Chloe’s name to help others who need wigs after losing theirs, so this little act of love can go even further.
Every penny raised will go directly towards helping Chloe and her family during this time. She is such a devoted amazing mum to her little boy and deserves to feel like herself again.
If you’re able to donate or share, any amount will help, no matter how big or small — it would mean the world to us
I can also accept cash donations this week on the school run, or if you’d like to donate another way, please send me a message.
We’ve got 21 days to raise as much as we can before our chop, so please give whatever you can
Thankyou for all your kindness and generosity”
If you would like to support Emorie in raising as much money as possible, here is the link to their Go Fund Me page;
Well done to Hazza who won the Halloween hamper. He was selected as our home learning/revision winner for autumn one for all the hard work her put in. Keep it up mate, you are smashing it!
