We had a special visitor today. Mr Corfield from the Freemasons came to see us so we could say thank you for the money they gave us for the teddy bears and care packages. We are very grateful for their support.

Here’s a selection of beautiful work from across the XP Trust from this week. To read about other stories from across the XP Trust, visit xptrust.org.
I think a lot of our children were inspired by this mornings rock and music assembly. Our children continued the rock and roll by creating their own band and musical instruments out on the playground. Look out for more information on how your child can sign up to learn musical instruments and be apart of a band. #LovePlover
In expedition this afternoon we were comparing two different fruits. I’ve never seen so much excitement over a watermelon before! We learned that fruits have seeds and vegetables grow from roots and have leaves. Some of the language the children used to describe the pineapple and watermelon were “tangy, sweet, sour, soft, juicy, yummy”. #LovePlover
Well done to our children who finished 4th out of 8 and were unlucky to reach the final at today’s competition. Shout out to Jenson who received a special recognition medal for his awesome skills! #LovePlover

KS1 were visited by Tim from RockSteady today. He showed us all of the exciting instruments we can learn if we sign up to some music lessons. We drummed along, sang and played our air guitars! We had a great time and even made our own band by the end of the session. We had great fun and we’re really keen to start learning instruments. You never know, we could be having our own performances by the end of the year! Please check out the letter for details!

Next week we will be moving onto ratio. We would love this to be the focus of your home learning this weekend as this will really support you in our learning next week. Crew coins will be awarded to everybody who completes some.

As part of developing our wider community crew, Laura from Doncaster Council came to launch an exciting project with our Year 6 pupils with the intention to make Doncaster a better place. They were so enthusiastic when sharing their ideas and articulating why their community is important to them. I can’t wait to see what comes of this exciting opportunity!
