We love being outside! The children went on a mini beast hunt. They helped to sieve and brush up the sand. We did a litter pick. Enjoyed playing on the balance bikes. Tommy, Frederick and Jacoby created some cool aeroplanes and cars using the building blocks. #LovePlover

Y2 Yorkshire Air Museum
Year 2 have had a brilliant day learning about the history of flight. We enjoyed looking at planes, learning about jet engines and making our own helicopters. We came face to face with models of the Wright Flier, Halifax bombers, Hurricanes and Spitfires. We saw parts from Concorde and found out about a pioneering pilot called Amy Johnson.
We had a wonderful time in the sunshine and we’re sure Year 1 are going to have a great time too.
We’d like to thank the staff at the Air Museum for a great day and thank the children for their brilliant behaviour.

XP Festival of Arts and Culture 2025 – Tickets available now!
On Friday 11th July, the XP Festival of Arts and Culture returns to XP Doncaster, bringing together students, families, staff and artists for a joyful celebration of creativity and community.
Throughout the day, you’ll experience live music, powerful performances, vibrant art installations, and the beautiful work that defines XP. Students from every XP Trust school will be contributing, sharing their talents and passions through exhibitions, dance, storytelling, and more – all designed to connect, inspire and make a difference.
The festival is a key moment in our XP Live programme – a growing Trust-wide initiative that gives young people authentic opportunities to produce, perform and create. It builds on our commitment to purposeful learning and supports our belief that every child can do meaningful, creative work that impacts the wider world.

3B are Geologists
Thank you, Andrew!
We have been visited by a real-life geologist! Andrew came to visit to speak to us about the rock cycle and how different types of rock are formed. He was fascinating and even taught us about the rock beneath our school!
He brought lots of samples of different rocks with him. Some had traces of silver in them! Looking at and exploring rocks with him has really helped us to build our background knowledge for this case study.
