What does it really mean to be part of XP? Don’t take it from us – hear it from the students themselves.
If you’re a teacher who believes in creativity, challenge and doing work that matters, this is the role for you. We’re open to applications across a range of subjects – find out more here
Year 2 really enjoyed having a picnic on the field with the rest of the school as part of our VE Day anniversary celebrations. We listened to music from the era while we ate and showed our respect during the national anthem. It was great to be together and learn why it is important to learn from the past.
2P have been exploring the difference between human and physical geographical features. We then used what we had learnt about Amelia Earhart’s final flight around the world to match which of these features she might have seen in different parts of the world. We then went for a walk around the outside of the school to see which features were most common around the building. We discovered that there were mainly human features.
Congratulations to all of our Pride of Plover winners over the last 2 weeks. It has been great to hear all about your growing independence, improved attitudes to learning and how hard you all been working to get better. Well done everyone!
Well done to our ten year 1 cricket superstars, who enjoyed an afternoon yesterday learning new cricket skills and playing matches against other schools! #LovePlover
For case study 1 we have been looking at the key text, The 3 Billy Goats Gruff. After reading the story, we collaboratively created a story map, before acting it out ourselves in small groups. The children showed great courage in acting out the roles infront of their peers.
F1 have been learning positional language through the story of the 3 Billy Goats Gruff. We then practised understanding position through words alone, without using visual prompts. Our key words were; under, on top, over, next to, behind and infront.
