Yellow T-Shirt Winner

This week, Noah is wearing the yellow T-Shirt in 6H. He is always so dependable and you can guarantee that he will always try his best in all he does. Well done Noah. Keep up the hard work.

We are geographers

We have been researching facts about Venezuela and found a waterfall called Angel Falls. Kole and I were debating if it was the biggest or the tallest. Mr Appleby clarified it was measured from sea level and so would be the highest!

Creative Circuits

Year 5 had a fun afternoon using equipment to create their own circuits! I can confirm they were hard work, as the children put me through my paces testing them out. #LovePlover

We are geographers!

We have started our new expedition and we are learning about the geography of South America in case study 1. Well done 5K on grappling with the new terminology and the continents. We were very lucky to have the expertise of Mr Appleby when we were learning about the different biomes in the different continents.

Fantastic Fractions!

This morning in Year 6, we have completed posters to help us use the correct vocabulary when discussing Fractions.  We have noticed equivalences between them and used diagrams to represent them.  Awesome work year 6!
A shout out to Dalton and Ashton, who noticed the equivalences first.

Rainforest Layers

Year 5 have been learning about the layers of the rainforest and the animals that live in them as part of their hook week activities. They worked collaboratively to produce anchor charts to show what they had learned.

Mrs Keegan has also found us some origami parrots to make and the class are busy grappling with them! As you can see, Mr Taylor couldn’t help but lend his engineering expertise to those who were finding it tricky! 🙂 #LovePlover Continue reading
