It’s been amazing to see so many children at home getting involved in hook week! We have seen so many fabulous creations based on our new Expedition- ‘How did the coal mining industry shape Doncaster?’
I can’t wait to engage in this Expedition further over the next term! If any parents/carers have any stories they know of in relation to mining experiences- please let me know as we would love to hear from you!

How gorgeous are these mining silhouette pictures? I am so impressed with how much effort the children have put into these and we can’t wait to display them around our classrooms! Well done to all involved!

Good afternoon Year 6,
You have impressed me so much during our live maths lessons today. I cannot thank you all enough for working so hard and having the confidence to work in this way. Shout Out to Lucas for coaching Tilly when I was supporting other pupils. You are a superstar! And well done to everyone else for such good engagement within the live lesson chat stream.
Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow.

Hi Year 6,
Well done and thank you to all of you who joined our live English lesson today. Sorry about the technical issues with loss of connection at times – you were all so patient and I felt incredibly proud of you all when I eventually got back online to hear and see you discussing and looking at the slides yourself. The amount of submissions of completed work has increased massively today so thank you and well done. Keep up the hard work and I will see you all again tomorrow morning.
Shout out to Tilly from 6B for superb coaching and explaining to others how to use Google Classroom. You superstar!

Well, what a turn out we had!! Well done everyone – it was so great to see so many of you today and your engagement through the chat was both so focused and prompt. Shout outs to all of you who have submitted your work and a gentle nudge to those of you who haven’t quite done that yet: please send it in! Apologies for the delay in this post. I thought I had done it earlier but hadn’t actually pressed ‘publish’.
See you all again tomorrow.
