Wildlife Park Visit

It is forecast to be very wet in the morning for our visit. We are still planning on going! Please make sure that your children are dressed for the weather (especially thinking about footwear and trousers). We should still have great fun if we are all dressed appropriately.

Please also remember that your child will need a packed lunch from home, unless you have already booked one with me at school. See you at the usual time in the morning.

Great fun!

We have a had a fabulous morning exploring Conisbrough Castle and the Civic Quarter in town. All of the children enjoyed exploring the castle grounds and managed to get some amazing pictures and videos for our final product. We scaled to the top of the keep and got an awesome view over Doncaster. After all of the hard work, we took a short stop for an ice cream before heading back to explore Cast and the Danum Gallery.

Fun Maths!

We have had great fun exploring the properties of 3D shapes and using this knowledge to help us to construct the largest tower possible. See how we did…!

Fabulous Field trips

My class have had a really busy couple of days. We have visited Cusworth Hall, Doncaster Minster and Doncaster Racecourse. These are just 3 of 9 locations KS1 are visiting as part of their Expedition ‘Would You Staycation In Doncaster’.

Huge appreciations to Ashley and Sam at Cusworth Hall they went above and beyond to ensure our children enjoyed their visit.

Also appreciations to Clive and Andy at Doncaster Minster, they provided us with so much expert information. The children walked along the old Roman fort wall, they explored both outside and inside the Minster. An experience that they really enjoyed was Clive ringing one of the Minster bells.

At the racecourse the children imagined being Jockeys, appreciations to Josh at the Racing College for the Racing Silks, it really added to the experience.

Today we ended the trip with a fantastic treat, appreciations to King Whippy for making the visit to the racecourse especially for our children … and staff! I think there was a competition for the largest ice cream … or the messiest ! 😂

I always enjoy school visits, they make wonderful memories which children will keep forever. These trips are full of memories which I know myself and the crew in KS1 will treasure; our first trip out after a really hard year due to COVID, the smiles on the children’s faces, the help and support of the local community… and mostly my truly fabulous class. As always, you have made me so proud.

Pride of Plover winner!

Congratulations to Jasmine who has been chosen as this week’s winner! I have had many adults commenting to me this week how hard Jasmine has tried in her learning. She has been working hard to improve her maths this week and has even started to coach and support others who have found the learning challenging. This has been awesome to see. Well done Jasmine!

Thank you to everyone who supported Pyjamarama day. We had great fun and enjoyed learning in our pyjamas! It was quite bizarre teaching fluffy unicorns and army soldiers!
