Have you sorted your red outfit for Friday? The sillier the better! Today in crew we discussed why comic relief is important and how it helps children and families who aren’t as fortunate as we are. Then, we collaborated to create a beautiful piece of artwork using the comic relief colour – red! We reflected on the events of Ukraine and talked about how comic relief might be able to help families there.
Well done Crew Barker!

Today we put on our safety goggles and lab coats and we had to think like scientists. We are thinking about our final product which is going to be a turtle made from recyclable art! (Make sure you keep bringing in plastic bottle tops please). We spoke about what makes materials waterproof and investigated the properties of 4 materials to see if we could choose an appropriate one for our final product.

In expedition this afternoon, our scientists were investigating 🔎 different materials and their properties to see which would be most appropriate for our final product artwork! They made some great observations and asked fantastic questions. #LovePlover
Oscar shared his thoughtful and wise words in crew yesterday morning about current issues happening in Europe.
Shout out to Kyran and Charlie who worked hard on their pronunciation of phase 5 alternative phonemes.
Well done to Mason, Rufus and Elian who have been getting smart in their maths and expedition lessons today. Marnie has also been working hard and extremely kind to other children to support their learning! #LovePlover
In English today, the children acted out different parts of our key text and then sequenced the narrative in order. Super collaboration guys. #LovePlover
The children challenged themselves in today’s starters to find half and quarters of different numbers.
Then our new learning was to program a bee bot to follow directions using mathematical language.
Brilliant collaboration and problem solving guys! #LovePlover
