We had an exciting afternoon today, Geoff bought in his drone! It flew up, up and away and we couldn’t believe how high it went! He took some photos so we had an Ariel view of Doncaster. We reflected on the photos and looked for landmarks. This expedition is all about belonging and a big part of who we are comes from where are from. We are proud to be from Doncaster! Check out the video below.

Crafty Keepmoat
The children have been getting crafty collaboratively and making cardboard cut outs of the Keepmoat Stadium, Doncaster Rovers shirt and The Dons rugby shirt. Our classroom represents the Keepmoat! #LovePlover
Self-Portraits
As a hook week task for our new expedition… children drew portraits and wrote some personal memories. They then buried these within the school grounds. They are going to be historians during this expedition and we wonder who will find our time capsule which will be a part of our history? #LovePlover
Crew Meade – perseverance
In we care Wednesday crew this morning the children showed resilience and perseverance to complete a fun but tricky challenge! #LovePlover
Hook week – time capsule
Today in hook week, all 4 classes have made a time capsule. We have each put into our time capsules our hand prints and drawn our faces. We wrote our name on the hand prints, included something that is special to us and where we live (not personal addresses). We then buried our time capsule in the ground. Who knows who will find it in years to come!
Student Led Conference 1M
Hi Grown ups
Just a reminder that student led conferences start tomorrow after school and are on for the remainder of the week. Times are stuck on my classroom window, if you need a letter ask Mr Meade or ask for a time that is available.
The children will be so proud showing off their learning!
Thanks
Mr Meade #LovePlover

Landmarks of Doncaster
1M have enjoyed immersing our learning environments by drawing, making and painting different landmarks we have in Doncaster! #LovePlover
We are 1M
One of our Hook week activities for our new expedition was looking at humans and how we are all the same but celebrate our differences! We look forward to making our KS1 hand flower. #LovePlover
Thank-you from us and from Greenpeace!
Thank-you parents and carers for your generous donations for our coloured themed raffle prizes! And thank-you for buying lots of tickets to try and win them! We raised £65 for Greenpeace and they have said they are very proud of our spring expedition- even asking to promote our final product which I will be sure to send them lots of photos of! Not only have we made a big difference to them by helping them to continue to campaign and take action to protect the natural world, but we have learnt how to take care of our precious planet which is crucial!
