Hook week – time capsule
Today in hook week, all 4 classes have made a time capsule. We have each put into our time capsules our hand prints and drawn our faces. We wrote our name on the hand prints, included something that is special to us and where we live (not personal addresses). We then buried our time capsule in the ground. Who knows who will find it in years to come!
Student Led Conference 1M
Hi Grown ups
Just a reminder that student led conferences start tomorrow after school and are on for the remainder of the week. Times are stuck on my classroom window, if you need a letter ask Mr Meade or ask for a time that is available.
The children will be so proud showing off their learning!
Thanks
Mr Meade #LovePlover

Landmarks of Doncaster
1M have enjoyed immersing our learning environments by drawing, making and painting different landmarks we have in Doncaster! #LovePlover
We are 1M
One of our Hook week activities for our new expedition was looking at humans and how we are all the same but celebrate our differences! We look forward to making our KS1 hand flower. #LovePlover
Thank-you from us and from Greenpeace!
Thank-you parents and carers for your generous donations for our coloured themed raffle prizes! And thank-you for buying lots of tickets to try and win them! We raised £65 for Greenpeace and they have said they are very proud of our spring expedition- even asking to promote our final product which I will be sure to send them lots of photos of! Not only have we made a big difference to them by helping them to continue to campaign and take action to protect the natural world, but we have learnt how to take care of our precious planet which is crucial!

Coming Soon: Plover Talent Agency!
Wow! I would say I can’t believe how talented you all are but actually – I knew it all along! I have laughed and smiled so much my cheeks hurt! What a fantastic afternoon watching your performances. You have all been so brave to stand up in front of such a huge crowd of children and adults. There are definitely some future singers, dancers and comedians in our school! I hope you all had as much fun as I did, you deserve it! I’m going to change careers and become a talent scouter – I’m signing you all up! Very proud of you 2B enjoy all the chocolate this Easter and I’ll see you in a couple of weeks!

KS1 Celebration of Learning
We are so so proud of KS1 this term. We had so much to show off for our celebration of learning and we were super excited to be able to invite visitors in again! A big thank you to parents who were able to attend and of course our special guests from Greenpeace. We had our big reveal, showing our final product which we can’t wait to get out into the community and show off! We heard from some excellent speakers in year 1 and 2 who explained their favourite parts of the expedition. We even squeezed in the 7 continents song! We managed to raise some money to donate to Greenpeace and we will continue to sell raffle tickets for our amazing colourful boxes- thank you to all parents for your donations!
Following instructions
Yesterday we read and followed some instructions. We went in it totally blind as we weren’t allowed to see what it was supposed to look like until the very end of the lesson! I was super proud of how well the groups worked together to craft their dragonfly’s, but we were confused when we found that our end product looked completely different to our designs! We decided the instructions were not very clear or specific and then began to write our own.
We walk to school!
Well done Crew Barker, most of you were awarded your first WOW badge yesterday. Everyday that you come to school on your feet or your scooter or your bike, it all counts towards getting your badge. Some of you were so close! Let’s see who gets a badge next month!
