These children have impressed me messily this week during their Y1 transition. Rachel has been the kindest little helper, Vlad has worked so hard on his learning activities, and Harper has produced some beautiful work and optimises the Plover pledge! #LovePlover
Back to being year 2’s!
Just a reminder that tomorrow we are back to being in year 2 and will line up in key stage one area again. You have only 5 school days left with your old teacher so let’s have a great time!
Beautiful work new 1M
Avaarni and Alec made an incredible castle for a King and Princess. Alec said “I’m a rich king!”
Harper did some beautiful independent writing about her new teacher and friends!
Then all the children finished of their awesome DOT artwork, adding detail for the whole school mural! #LovePlover
1M create… The Dot
We have been artists this morning and created different dots, which represent our crew colours! The children have settled in superbly with crew, learning and provisions! #LovePlover
F2 —> Y1 explore day
Yesterday, Mr Meade and Mrs Bubb had the privilege of an early transition day to meet our wonderful children… we explored the KS1 tram trail, played sports on the field, enjoyed team games and stories in the hall, finished with outdoor exploring in the forest school! #LovePlover
Lining up tomorrow and thursday
Starting from tomorrow, please drop off and collect your year 2 (soon to be year 3!) children from here (see the photo below). They are lined up in crews. Miss Browns crew will line up in front of her classroom and Mrs Abbiss’ crew and Mrs Haycocks crew will line up outside Mrs Haycocks classroom! Please collect from your child’s classroom door at the end of the day.
Our first transition day!
The amount of children I heard say ”I love my new class” or ”this is the best day ever” today gave me such a big smile! We have loved learning in our new classroom and getting to know our way around the other end of the school. Thank-you Miss Brown we can’t wait to be 3B – bring on more fun tomorrow!
Sports Day Reminders
Hi all
Just a few preparation reminders for Sports day which is next Monday 18th July:
- Children’s to bring in and wear (red, yellow, blue) t-shirt to represent their crew colour.
- Parent/Carers who would like to rent a stall for £10 speak to the office by the end of this week.
- Children to donate any tombola prizes by the end of this week. (chocolates, toys, food, drink, soaps etc.)
Maths is Fun in the Sun
1M enjoyed their outdoor maths lesson on Friday working on measuring capacity. They worked collaboratively to estimate how many ML different containers may hold… safe to say a few children got a bit wet! #LovePlover
