🇺🇸 Thursday 7th October will be our American dinner day! We are asking children to come dressed in red, white and blue and join us on school dinners to try some yummy American style food🇺🇸

Every child who has a dinner on this day will be entered into a raffle to win either 2 tickets for the new Savoy theatre, a box of 12 Dunkin donuts or a sweet treat box including popcorn and chocolate! 🎟 🍩🍿

We can’t wait to try the pancakes and honey 😋

What ingredients do you need to make a cake?

We have been exploring the book It’s my birthday. We are learning to sign the story to help us in our re-telling.

Today we worked in pairs to sequence the ingredients in the story. We could all sign the ingredients and most of us could put them in the right order.

Maths

So far this week the children have done some amazing mathematical learning. We have been learning how to use 5 frames to help us count and have been exploring circles by using the hoops and bubbles.

Shoutout to Ivanna and Ines who have also returned to previous mathematical learning and made their own repeating patterns within provision.

Learning maths outside

This week we are focussing on the ways we can make 5 as well as making sure we can name circles and triangles.

We have been making 5 frames and adding natural objects. We have used hoops to make circle bubbles and large shapes to build with talking about their faces.

Well done to Isla who made the 5 frame in different ways and matched the numbers.

Library Day in F1

The children were very excited today to take a book home to share with their grown-ups. We are looking forward to hearing about their stories next Tuesday in crew.

Working hard

Thomas has really impressed me today with the effort that he has put into his learning. He has shown a can do attitude. Well done Thomas.
