We have been learning a song to accompany our story of Goldilocks and the three bears .Can you sing it with us?
We have had a fantastic time preparing our classroom for our story of “Goldilocks and the three bears” during Hook Week. We made our trees for the forest using our hand prints and have been dressing up as the characters.
F2 have continued to enjoy playing in provision and developing areas. After our visit to the woods, we have been learning about burrowing and tunneling animals. We’ve turned our reading area into a rabbit’s burrow and enjoyed building mole and rabbit tunnels in our digging area.
We have created some beautiful artwork this week. Children have enjoyed sketching and painting characters from Little Red Riding Hood. We are getting really good at mixing the colours we need. We hope you will look out for our art work around our classrooms as we’re really proud of it!
Our Forest School children had a great session outside on Thursday. We are already beginning to remember our rules for keeping safe. Children worked together to find ways to move logs twice as big and heavy as themselves. They had great fun getting muddy, digging holes to plant trees and were really excited to find and re-home wriggly worms. Make sure you have your wellies next week as we want to jump in muddy puddles!

We have been practicing retelling the story of Little Red Riding.
Here are some of us telling the first part
Last week we learnt what it meant to be a crew. These are the ideas that the children came up with.
Lots of industrious children in Lego club today. The children were able to make models fastening their chosen equipment together. Some children also used other equipment to build with. The behaviour was fantastic and we had some lovely conversations. Looking forward to next week.
We have started learning about Little Red Riding Hood.
Some of us have been baking scones to take to Granny’s house.
Some of us have been playing in small world re-telling the story.
F2 were so excited to meet the Mayoress of Doncaster. We enjoyed telling her about our new expedition and invited her to unveil our information board in Sandal Beat woods in April. We hope she can make it!
