This morning we are being Historians.
Peepo is a story set in the past, when some of your grandparents or great grandparents were children. We are going to find out how things were the same and different. Look at each illustration and find things that were different in the past. Add pictures and labels to your storymap and talk about what you use today.
I’ve looked at the laundry room. I don’t have a laundry room, my clothes are washed in the kitchen. I can see a kettle on the fire and clothes on a clothes horse. In my kitchen, the washing machine makes the water hot and I have a tumble dryer.

We have had lots of fun in the snow this morning.

Thursday’s maths
Using the guess and check strategy for problem solving
In this lesson, we will begin to apply the guess and check strategy to a problem involving numbers within 15.
You will also need some paper that you can draw some houses on.
Challenge yourself at the end to see how many ways you can solve the problem.
This is the link to the video.

This morning we will be sharing the story of Peepo by Janet and Allan Ahlberg. I wonder if you’ve read any other stories by these two?
You can listen to the story on our morning hangout and will also find it on youtube via the link attached. After you have heard the story, think about the rooms and places the baby visits. Do you have the same rooms in your house?
Your task today is to create a storymap, sequencing the pictures from the story. You can either print off the pictures (shared in evidence me) or draw your own. Can you label each picture?
Remember to send me a picture of your storymap and save it for tomorrow’s session.
Tip – make it big and leave room to add to it.
