Goldilocks – A Sound Story

Today we are going to make a sound story.

Use your story map to sequence the story and retell it adding sounds. Choose objects from around the home to retell the story. Think about making Big, loud sounds, Medium-sized sounds and Tiny, Little, quiet sounds. You could choose a part of the story to retell or even retell the whole story.

Remember to share your sound stories when they are ready. Have fun!

Plover Praise for…

Charlotte!

Well done Charlotte. I was so impressed with your use of mathematical language to explain your learning today. Charlotte explained that she had 12 cubes and shared them between 3 groups to make 3 groups of 4.

Thursday’s maths – solving problems

Thursday’s Phonics – matching letters

t-n-7081-upper-and-lower-case-letters-matching-caterpillar-activity-sheet-_ver_3

Thursday 28th Jan
1. Recap those tricky words and graphemes.
2. Sing an alphabet song and say the
letter names

3. Today we will be using letter names and looking at upper and lower case letters. Can you match upper and lower case letters? Use the caterpillar sheet to match letters or ask a grown-up to write upper and lower case letters on pieces of paper/cards for you to match.
Do you know their names? (Aa is ay, Bb is bee).
4. On an alphabet sheet tick off the ones you can name. I wonder if you can learn the rest?
I can’t wait to see your photos!

Goldilocks – The Ending

Today we will be drawing and acting out the end part of the story.

Once you’ve drawn your story map, practice retelling your story from the beginning, as much as you can and add actions. Don’t forget to share your story map and video your retelling to share with us too!

Enjoying being bears

We are having a wonderful week learning the story of Goldilocks and the three bears. The children have been dressing up, exploring porridge, making bear costumes and F2 have been reading sentences from the story.

There is going to be a competition starting on Friday which we will share on the blog. We would like all EYFS children to join in.

I am looking forward to seeing the rest of our learning on Goldilocks. We are storytellers. We are learning to re-tell the story and will share it with you soon.

Well done everyone

Today we are going to practice reading sentences.
If you are red 2B2 or yellow reader then you need to read the green level sheet. If you are pink or red then read the gold level sheet. If you are red, challenge yourself to have a go at the green level.
Which words could you read and which ones did you find difficult? Could you remember the graphemes?

Goldilocks – The Middle

Today we will be drawing and acting out the middle part of the story, up to where Goldilocks falls asleep.

Tuesday’s maths- sharing into equal groups

Tuesday’s learning
Exploring sharing objects into equal groups
In this lesson, we will explore sharing objects into equal groups. We will continue with the rhyme Baa Baa Black Sheep. We are going to divide the wool into 3 equal groups today. Are the groups equal?
Watch the video and complete the learning. Can you practice counting in 3s?

Video for today’s lesson.

Can you solve the problem? If I share 18 bags of wool between the dame, the master and the little boy, how many will each one have?
