Art Critique
Today we critiqued Peter Thorpe’s art work. 🎨 We noticed and praised the colours, lines and shapes he used. Some of us had wonders about his colour choices and shapes. We discussed how his art made us feel. There was a mixture of emotions! We then had a go at our own piece and critiqued that. This morning Year 5 have built bridges using spaghetti, play-doh and lasagne sheets.
Project in a Box
This week Year 5 will be taking part in Project in a Box. We will be looking at all the different jobs that are involved in creating, buying, selling and looking after the buildings we use. Today we worked in small groups to figure out how to build the tallest tower, with limited resources and money.

We have used our observational skills to draw our self-portraits. To start, we took our picture on the Ipad and then had a go at drawing what we could see. After, we learnt some specific art skills to improve what we had originally done. We then used critique to make small improvements for our 3rd draft before doing our final critique and product. You can really see the progress!
