Our spring SATs competition has been launched! All children will have their booster revision timetable shared at their SLC’s this week. For every session they attend, they will get a ticket in the draw. For every piece of home learning they do linked to our revision sites they will also get a prize in the draw. The two prizes (as voted by the Year 6 children) are a Jellycat teddy and an American sweet hamper. The two winners will be drawn on the last day of the spring term and our final revision competition will be launched over Easter!

Dear Parents and Carers, 

In the week commencing 8th January, your child will be taking part in fieldwork to Doncaster town centre. 

This fieldwork has been planned to support their learning in Expedition and is a brilliant opportunity to bring the students’ learning to life in an exciting and engaging way. The experience will be used to support learning back in the classroom to help the children better understand the content and develop a deeper understanding of the industrial revolution in Doncaster. The event will cover the following:

• The use of public transport to Doncaster town centre bus station, 
• Look at the historic infrastructure around the wool market
• A look at the new artwork outside the train station 
• A walk to Doncaster Cathedral
• Return journey on public transport

The total cost of the trip will be £2.00, which will be the cost of the bus fare, this will be taken in cash onto the bus. All monies will have to be paid to your child’s class teacher prior to the field trip in order for them to take part.

Please ensure your child has sensible shoes and a coat for the fieldtrip. If you have any questions about this fieldwork, please contact your class teacher who will discuss it in further detail.
