It was lovely community crew this week. We shared appreciations, apologies and made stands. Congratulations top scoring crew, Crew Pass, they won a ‘Crazy Hair Day’ for next Friday.
At the end of Community Crew, we shared why crew leaders had nominated children for Pride of Plover. It is great to hear examples of how our children are living the Plover Pledge every day by working hard, getting smart and being kind.
Well done George, Matijas, Nelly, Poppy, Minnie and Jarvis. Enjoy wearing your Yellow T-Shirt this week.
4B have done a gallery walk to critique everyoneâs posters they created yesterday about aspects of Roman life in Britain and today they have presented their posters to the class. Well done for being brave enough to share your interesting facts and to listening carefully to others to give smart critiques.
Today, year 4 carried on with their hockey skills and defending in teams. They worked well together and communicated on passing and defending against the other team. They practiced to the best of their ability and the coaches are super proud of the achievement and progress they have been making. Well done year 4, Iâm very proud of the courage and teamwork you have displayed!
Today for expedition, 4B have been researching about aspects of Roman life to produce a poster which they will be presenting to the class tomorrow. Well done everyone for working so hard and I canât wait to see your presentations.

There are times when I wish I had recorded a lesson. Today was definitely one of those times. Iâve never seen so many over dramatic children posing as Roman soldiers in a variety of situations. When they âcame to lifeâ as I touched their heads, some of their comments were absolutely priceless:
âAre we nearly there yet?â âOutta the way Iâm gonna be sick!â âHold on for your life, thereâs another wave coming!â
âHow cold is this water?!â âNo one said about this before we set off.â âSoâŚcoldâŚsoâŚfarâŚâ
âWhere on Earth am I?â âWhat is that supposed to be?â âWhy is it so wet and so cold?â
âClaudius ordered us to build a settlement but Iâm too tired. I must sleep!â âSleep now, build later.â
âOof, urgh, hmpf!â âI donât know how many more bricks I can pass you!â âHow heavy!â âOW!â
âLetâs be âavin yaaaaaaaa!â âCELTS COMING!â âWho are ya?â âAttack!â âIncoming!â
I honestly donât know where they get it from! Well done 4H now to transfer those actions and words into writing! Youâve got this, folks!
Look whoâs come to stay! We are so incredibly excited and proud that our class have been chosen to look after our school Guinea pigs – not surprisingly, they have won all of our hearts already! Say hello to NibblesâŚ
Queenie was feeling too shy to come out to play but today, she seemed more settled. We will introduce her to you all tomorrow.
