We are becoming more confident!

The growth in everyone’s confidence in Maths over the last couple of weeks has been so rewarding to witness. Well done to everyone who comes to me for their Maths lessons. Keep listening carefully, working hard and getting smart – the manipulatives really will help you if you use them correctly. I saw great work with them today: helping you to solve problems about multiples of 12.

We understand why we feel as we do…

In Crew we this week, we have been showing different emotions with our faces, body language and/or actions. Then we considered what can actually cause us to feel these emotions. Thinking about this has helped us to think carefully about how our actions can have an impact on others and why some people might need to be shown extra compassion at times or may act out of character.

Crew! 💙

In crew, we worked on communication, participation and problem solving skills to complete a challenge in mini crews. Both crews managed to be successful and win some crew coins for their good teamwork.

Well done Crew Brown!

Year 4 PE

Today, year 4 had been improving their running skills by practicing and learning about how to do a relay race. They began by running the course, then learning how to carry the baton without dropping it before finally learning how to pass it onto their teammates. Well done year 4, super work today!

We are proud artists!

Creating art in ways we would not normally was definitely a highlight of Hook Week! We all faced lots of challenges along the way (especially me – just ask your child about my polar bear attempt) but with specific and kind critique, all children were all able to produce a final piece that they were proud of! Well done everyone.

I hope you are as proud of yourselves as I am of you all!

We are geographers 🌍

This week in expedition, we have been locating and explaining the different geographical zones of the world. We also described and compared the geographical location of the Uk and Svalbard. To consolidate their learning, the class loved completing a blooket quiz. Shout out to the winners, Rahand and Elijah!
