In Art, we have been looking at shading to show light and shadow. The children have done an amazing job at drawing a realistic sphere and should be very proud of their results.
We have also learnt how to sketch realistic lips. We then applied our knowledge of shading with different tones to show light and shadow and make our art look more 3D.

For today’s We care Wednesday Crew session, we created posters for some advice about E-safety. We discussed the importance of not sharing private information online, being kind online and how we should tell a trusted adult if we are ever sad or unsure of the things we see online. Well done Crew Brown.

Year three have tried really hard to get smart in all Maths lessons by listening to instructions and following them carefully. The children have been checking in with a coach if they felt they needed a little more help or just knuckling down and cracking on alone if they felt the confidence to do so.

I think we need to work on making the shape of a letter P with our bodies. Maybe more of a lean to the side is required guys!

Crew Haycock worked hard to find the best way to balance a ruler between the fingers of two crew mates. Then from their standing position, the pair had to lower themselves into a sitting position and get back up again without dropping the ruler. They quickly discovered, as with some of our other crew challengers, communication is key!
