Remembrance Day

To commemorate Remembrance Day, the children all helped create a poppy wreath. They also designed a centrepiece to be used for the wreath placed on the cenotaph in town on Sunday.

Proud to be Plover

It was with great pride that we had the opportunity to represent Plover School today at the Doncaster Remembrance Sunday Parade at the Cenotaph on Bennetthorpe.

Paisley and Anwyn carried the wreath, with the centre piece incorporating LKS2 children’s images, and placed it on the cenotaph, to complete the ceremony.

It meant so much to see many of the Armed Forces, both past and present, there and really made us think about our LKS2 expedition, ‘Lest We Forget; How does war change lives?”

Hopefully, this will become an annual event for Plover.

3B faith day

In 3B, we learnt all about the Sikh place of worship, the Gurdwara. The children created a poster explaining what the Gurdwara is and how it is used. A great end to the first term. Happy half term holidays!

We are SPaG superstars

In English lessons, we have been working super hard to accurately punctuate sentences by identifying the verb, subject and leftovers. Everyone has worked well both collaboratively and independently. Your subject knowledge and ability to explain has been very impressive. Keep up the good work!

“Eye” catching artwork!

In Art, we have been focussing on sketching eyes. We have used our observational skills to try to replicate the features of an eye accurately. Well done, class, for your amazing work!
