This week the children in Year 2 have begun their new unit on instructions. Today they have been busy following instructions to create something special ready for this weekend. They worked in pairs and small groups to help each other succeed. I’m sure when the children bring their special project home, you’ll see how hard they have worked!
Sorry, there are no sneak previews, you’ll have to wait and see!
As part of our new writing unit, we are learning to write instructions. Today, we practiced following some instructions on how to make a bee hotel. First we collected some sticks to create the middle section. Then we made our bed hotels in mini crews before heading outside to put them in our eco-garden.
Thank you so much for helping us to be in a position to confirm the trip can go ahead.
Please can we ask that all consents and lunch orders are placed with class teachers by Monday at the latest.
Parent pay will remain open for any outstanding payments.
Thank you once again for your support.
KS1 Team.
Congratulations to our Pride of Plover winners who have all worked hard and helped others! Most impressively, all of them have been blowing us away with their reading! #LovePlover
In Crew this morning, children enjoyed sharing one of their favourite books while having a biscuit. We discussed why reading is so important and why we should read as often as we can. It was great to see children reading for pleasure and lovely to find out their reasons for choosing their book.
Good evening,
As a reward for winning our crew incentive, the children in Crew Lewis have won a wacky hair day! On WEDNESDAY 6th March, they will be invited to come to school with special hair (if they choose to).
We have attached some ideas, but we look forward to seeing their special hair creations.
The reward is for the following children only: Arez, Regan, Dolly, Nevaeh B, Paisley, Blake, Corben, Zuzanna, Zara, Kyryl, Ibrahim, Isla, Ines, Reign, Sergei, Evanas, Rahoz
This week the children have been enjoying finding out about the lifecycle of a frog and about the habitat they live in. The children designed some brilliant pond habitats that included food sources, protection from predators, shelter for frogspawn and tadpoles and a source of fresh water.
Here are some of the children’s ideas.
This week some children in Year 1 and 2 have been enjoying trying our new reading platform, ‘Reading Plus.’ The children have gone home covered in stickers for their hard work and they have loved improving their comprehension and vocabulary. Keep it up everyone!
We Care Crew – discussing how we respect LGTB community and made a supportive poster! Beautiful home learning from Sreelakshmi, Siyar, Elisa, Kaya, Esme and Lacey. Well done to all superstars working hard in reading and PE! #LovePlover
