First we completed our colour wheel and mixed primary colours to make the secondary colours orange, green and purple.
Then we started our Fire of London art and created a backwash with light and dark oranges using a sponge. #LovePlover

Shout out to Johnboy, Maisie, Kobin and Riley! You were fantastic in phonics this morning. I loved how well you were listening and how beautifully you worked with your partner. Well done!
This week Year 1 have been working as artists. We have been learning how to use powder paint to mix primary and secondary sources. We have also been working on mastering brush control. We can’t wait to show you our Great Fire of London artwork.
Good morning 1M,
Just a reminder for 1M children to come in PE kit today please. Can they also have joggers and a waterproof just incase it rains.
Thanks
Mr Meade
1M not only impressed Mr Meade and Mrs Duckitt, but also Mrs Graves who popped in during our physically active English lesson. The children learned what a common noun was and understood it is was a person, place or thing! #LovePlover
This afternoon we have been very busy using our primary colours to make our secondary colours. We mixed red with blue to make purple, red and yellow to make orange and blue and yellow to make green!
1/2K have been learning about the comparison symbols in Maths. To introduce the children to this topic we were dancing to the Go Noodle greater than, less than and equal to song. We then explored the room making our symbols using lolly pop sticks to compare our towers. Great job everyone!
