Forest Schools

Today Heather and Lesley came to visit as experts in ‘what you would find if you took a stroll in Autumn’. We learned about leaves changing colour and falling from the trees, about nature slowing down ready for winter, about conkers being seeds and falling further from branches that are higher up and of course, toasting marshmallows on the fire! It was wet but wonderful!

Dancing in the Dark

Weve had so much fun dancing, sharing food and dressing up!

We’re going on a square hunt

In maths today we learnt about squares and their properties. We learnt the difference between curved and straight as well as side and vertex.

The children then went to see if they could find other squares. We didn’t realise that we had so many squares in our classroom!

PE KITS and FOREST SCHOOL

Hi all,

Hope you’ve been having a lovely break. Just a reminder for all F2 children to come to school in their PE kits EVERY Monday from this week. The children can wear joggers and hoody/ sweater to keep them warm and we will just take these off when we go into the hall for our PE session. (shorts and Tshirts underneath)

This Tuesday is our forest school visit. The children will need to have their wellies and waterproofs in school, as usual, for this day. IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID ALREADY PLEASE DO SO VIA PARENT PAY APP. The cost is ÂŁ2.

We are excited to see all the children in school Monday morning.

xx

Preparing our product

We have been learning to critique our art work in order to edit and improve our designs. The children looked closely at animal pictures talking about the features that they could see.

Have a look at some of our designs.

Observational Drawings

This week we have been drawing woodland creatures. We have been critiquing and having another one. We drew our final draft onto a pebble.
