F2PR Our walk to explore the local library!

This week we had a walk through our local area to visit the library. We loved looking at all the different type of story and information books with our grown ups. We shared a lovely story about a bear who lives in a book at the library and comes to life! When we returned to school we made a map of our journey ensuring we included the key things we saw along the way.

Today, we learned how we can use a library for our ‘fieldwork’. We loved seeing rows and rows of beautiful books and listened beautifully to a story about a story book bear who came to life! In maths, we drew a map of our route,ensuring we included specific items. Some of us are definitely Geographers!

Happy Christmas from EYFS

F2 performed the nativity at Flintwood Methodist Church this morning. Thank you to them for such a warm welcome and we hope that the signing, singing and acting brightened their day.

This afternoon we all joined in with carols around the tree.

We would like to wish you all a safe and happy Christmas and we look forward to seeing you all in January ready for our new expedition “Once upon a time”. Don’t forget to think about the costume you are going to dress in.
