Thank you to baby T and his mummy for coming to visit us today. He has grown so much. He is now sitting and is starting to crawl. We learnt about how he shows his emotions and the things he likes and dislikes.

Sing – a -thon
Thank you to all the families who have sent in sponsor money. We currently have over Ā£500. Thank you to you all for your generosity. We will be using it to buy reading for pleasure books for the children, children in Kiddiewinks, the hospital and local places.

F2B Faith Day
Today we learned about Eid. Muslims celebrate Eid. Their religion is called Islam. Zehra in our class in Muslim and we enjoyed learning and sharing knowledge together. We read a Muslim story about a family, like Zehraās, who did Ramadan. Zehra explained Ramadan is when they donāt eat food in the daytime (fasting) but they eat food at night. For Eid, they share a big feast and sometimes have fireworks. We made Eid Mubarak cards and some children chose to give theirs to Zehra. We ate spicy food from Bakrs Mum. Some of us loved it! Some of us nearly cried because it was so spicy- we all had a giggle! What a lovely day learning about other peopleās faiths. We celebrate our differences.

What is Chinese New Year?
This week we have been sharing the story Goldy Luck and the three Pandas as an alternative text to Goldilocks and the three bears. This has led us on to learning about Chinese New Year.
We created a list of all the facts that we could think of relating to Chinese New Year and China. Some of the children remembered learning about Pandas.
We tasted different Chinese food. We talked about how it was safe for the children to eat it even though it was different to what they normally ate. We made a tally of the food we liked.

Safer Internet Day
Yesterday, we learned about keeping safe online. We know to āSTOP, CLOSE and TELLā, if we see a pop-up appear. In the story we saw what happened when children donāt do this. All the children now know what to do if they see a pop-up on their screen. They have brought home a gremlin to place near their device as a reminder.
Caring Crew
Over the last couple of weeks, we have been learning about looking after our mental health as well as our physical health. We read a story about a colour monster whose emotions were all mixed up. He had help to sort the emotions into jars. His emotions were all different colours. We have discussed the colours we feel for different emotion words we have learned. Mrs Bubb talked about an emotion and if we had the colour that represented that emotion we made matksbon the paper with it. We all saw different colours for different emotions.
This morningās crew was mindful colouring. We all really enjoyed sitting quietly and exercising our mind to be calm and quiet. We are learning to #bekind to ourselves.
