Children’s University

Lots of you will be receiving certificates this week from Children’s University. Well done if you have achieved your next milestone and we’ll look forward to seeing you at your graduation in July!

Look out for new summer codes coming soon. Please make sure you have added all of your Spring and Autumn codes as these will be deleted over the Easter break. If you need support with this, I am available at 4pm every Wednesday in 3H.

Thanks!

Danum Read Aloud

Tuesday afternoon saw the Plover final of the Danum Read Aloud. It was a wonderful event, with our KS2 pupils being incredibly supportive of their very brave peers! We thoroughly enjoyed all of the speeches and Judge Ogle and Judge Barrass had a very difficult decision on their hands to decide the winner! After some deliberation, they chose Vedika as the winner, due to her passionate reading and great eye contact with her audience throughout her speech. We are so proud of all of our finalists and hope to repeat the event again next year! Good luck to Vedika, who now goes on to represent Plover in the final at the Danum Gallery, Library and Museum at the end of the month! #LovePlover

Y5 swimming

On Thursday, you will need to bring pyjamas or light clothes for survival week in swimming this week. Swimming costumes/trunks still need to be brought as well as these will be worn underneath their clothes.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask the class teacher.

Thanks

PE Kits

Reminder that you need to bring your PE kits tomorrow for our special PE lesson with Mr Meade and Activ8!

This week in 5M

This week we have been doing a lot of fun things. In maths, we have been looking at improper fractions and mixed number fractions. In English, we have written a newspaper article about Rosa Parks. It has also been World Book Day and our special guest was Mrs Price. We were all so excited and happy because we read some picture books. What’s you’re favourite picture book?

Roots of Empathy

Baby Alice and her mummy came back to see us today. We really noticed changes in Baby Alice and she was excited to show us what she can do.

Alice is enjoying more time on her tummy and showed us how she can move to reach different toys. She really enjoyed the Roots of Empathy balls and is getting really strong. Alice can now say ’dada’ and showed us how she can roll onto her tummy. She enjoyed us singing to her and was watching all the children do the actions to the nursery rhymes. We can’t wait to see what Baby Alice can do on her next visit.
