We have launched our Sports for Challenge fundraising campaign this week, to promote physical activity and exercise, healthy active lifestyles and working hard to become a champion!
Children from F2-Y6 have all been given a fundraising form, the challenge is for children to raise as little or large of an amount over the next 5 weeks! Then if we meet our fundraising target, all the children will enjoy meeting and exercising with a World Class Athlete after half term! The benefit of the fundraising will allow the school to purchase some fantastic sports equipment throughout school!
Forms and money to be brought in w/c 22nd May. Prizes will be given to the child in every year group who raises the most money!
Thanks all #LovePlover
Shock news!
Last week, Plover School was unfortunate enough to be hit by freak weather conditions. A localised tornado, earthquake and volcanic eruption occurred on the school playground, just outside the Year 3 and 4 classrooms. Fortunately, Ms Trindall and Mr Taylor were quickly on site and able to clear up the mess. Sadly, there was no time to clear the classrooms, so year 3 and 4 children were greeted with a bit of a unusual situation when they arrived in school this morning!
In view of the strange events, the LKS2 staff team, felt it necessary to prepare the children in case a similar situation reoccured.
As a result, LKS2 children spent the day completing various challenges to see if they could SURVIVE!
It was a great way of getting hooked into our Summer term expedition: “Earth Shattering Events; what happens when nature strikes” and we can’t wait to find out where our learning will take us.
See class blogs for more information and photos.

After a surprise earthquake rocked the classroom during the half term holidays, 3B have spent their day working in crews to complete different activities to develop their survival skills in the event of a natural disaster. The kids have certainly passed the test and worked so well together. Well done at a great start to hook week!

Well done 3B! You have worked super hard during our expedition and especially when preparing for our science fair about muscles and bones. Big shout out to all the children who were brave enough to speak aloud in front of all of the families at todays celebration of learning. You all should be very proud!
