In support for the Sports for Champions campaign, then we can count our whole school total and give out prizes for the highest fundraisers in each KS1, before the half term holidays! #LovePlover
Y1 have worked so hard today and some children have impressed Mr Meade and Mrs Bubb so much with their phonics, reading and writing! Also a big shout out to Avaarni’s MUM who has very kindly volunteered to do some reading in an afternoon with our lovely children! #LovePlover
Today, we went on the ipads to play Buried Treasure. We had to read the coins and decide if they were fake or real words. We loved it when the pirate danced! ☠️
Some of us played hungry Hippos and the hippos were eating digraphs!
Finally we learned the split digraph i-e and played a board game using chalk to write the i-e words.
Shout out to Rachel and Ianis who shared great knowledge in phonics and during our new shared reader text ‘Butterflies’.
Today, we role-played The King’s Coronation before writing about it.
Today we were getting better at comparing weather in the UK. We had a great time being weather reporters! (More to come on youtube)
Every Friday we take it in turns to read our shared reader book for 1 minute to see how many words we can read! It is awesome to see our children improving their fluency and reading skills – keep it up! #LovePlover
