Postcards

Shoutout to Isabell and Siyar that got postcards today.

Isabell was an incredibly kind and caring member of our crew, by offering to play with the new boy in our class and make him feel welcome. Isabell did great sharing and showed great compassion.

Siyar has been communicating a lot more both with staff and peers and has been showing improved confidence with his learning.

We Are Artists

This morning we have enjoyed printing butterflies. We learnt what the word symmetrical means and how create a beautiful symmetrical butterfly by folding our paper in half after painting it.

Getting Smart

Josie really impressed me today with how hard she tried with her independent reading and writing during phonics. Josie has also been a great role model in how beautiful she has been sat on the carpet at all times this week.

Shoutout to Lacey-Mae who also did some beautiful independent writing during provision and kept asking if she could do more!

Well done girls! Keep being great examples of our Plover Pledge.

We Are Scientists

Today we looked at the lifecycle of a butterfly. We spoke about how eggs turn into caterpillars, which then make a chrysalis before forming into butterflies.

We cannot wait to watch our class caterpillars change through this cycle into beautiful butterflies.

Shoutout to Dolly and Almina that used the sheets from our large group, to extend their learning further by drawing and labelling the life cycle.

School Trip

The children really enjoyed our visit to the woods today. We looked at what living things look we could find in the woods and what we could see growing. We even got to experience snow! Thankyou to all our grown ups that helped.

What Is 6?

This week we have been exploring the number 6 in maths. The children came up with some excellent answers today about what they noticed when subitising the number 6.

Planting Cress

F2W have enjoyed planting cress in egg shells today. After planting our seeds we decorated the shell of the egg. We are looking forward to seeing how it grows.

Postcards

Lots of postcards were given out in F2W today! Benson and Almina have just been superstars, always following the Plover Pledge and are such caring members of our crew. Sreelakshmi and Siyar have been extending their vocabulary and using this to interact with their peers more. Nina did some beautiful phonics writing, segmenting her words carefully and double checking it.

Lacey-Mae wrote a birthday party invitation independently during provision and drew some flowers on the beach around it, as that is going to be the theme for her party.
