Find ½ of 22.

If we want to find ¼ of 12, we share 12 counters between 4 circles. 

We find the answer by counting how many counters are in 1 circle

Two quarters

If we want to find 2/4 of 12, we share 12 counters between 4 circles. 

We find the answer by counting how many counters are in 2 circles.

 

Three quarters

If we want to find 3/4 of 12, we share 12 counters between 4 circles. 

We find the answer by counting how many counters are in 3 circles.
