Poppy Art Work

In 1LI today, we have been working hard to create beautiful poppy artwork. We have used techniques that all the teachers were recently taught, by Joyce from Buzeman Art, to recreate poppies using different art techniques. We used pastels to create a background representing the changing colours of the battlefields. We then used string and acrylic paint to recreate the poppy stems, before using pointillism to create the poppies.

Mrs Ogle was so impressed she awarded the whole class Headteacher’s award stickers!

Year 3 PE

A new half term meant a new PE activity and today, it was team building exercises. The year 3ā€™s started off with a warm up on listening to instructions to do the correct actions, before splitting up into groups to work on team building games. There were plenty of smiles to go around as they communicated with each other on completing the challenges and games. Plenty of children had worked incredibly well as a group and did as they were told.

Well done year 3!

Year 4 hockey

Today, year 4 carried on with their hockey skills and defending in teams. They worked well together and communicated on passing and defending against the other team. They practiced to the best of their ability and the coaches are super proud of the achievement and progress they have been making. Well done year 4, Iā€™m very proud of the courage and teamwork you have displayed!
