Congratulations to the Key Stage 1 Pride of Plover winners this week. It was brilliant to hear how you demonstrated such determination and focus in your learning, always working hard and getting smart. Even better still was hearing how kind you all are and how well you use your manners. Well done everyone!
Today we have been scientists and learning to understand the world, focusing on the statement “talk about the difference between materials and the changes they notice”. We explored the dry porridge oats and then made predications on how it might look/feel when we mix them with water. We then made some porridge by adding milk, to taste the oats. Most of us thought the porridge was delicious, but some of us were not a fan.
A huge thank you to all of the parents/carers that came along to support us on our Austerfield visit yesterday, the children had a great day. We had great fun going on a bear hunt, and making porridge for Goldilocks and the three bears.
We’re going on a big bus. Then we arrived at Austerfield. We’re going to make a circle. Then we wandered into the woods. We made some wood porridge for the 3 Bears and created some bear faces using natural outdoor resources. We played bear tag whilst trying to steal the porridge. We’re going to enjoy our lunch. We’re going on a bear hunt. We’re going to catch a… we explored, we learned, we found, we made, we played and we helped each other. WHAT A BEARUTIFUL DAY! #LovePlover
We had such fun, playing, exploring, finding, looking, laughing. It was just fabulous! Mrs Bubb and Mrs Reeve were so proud of the children for their great behaviour and joining in with the Bear Hunt story.
Well done to Mr Din who works in our hearing impaired unit. He won the beautiful autumn wreath. Thank you so much to everybody who purchased tickets to raise money for our Year 6’s.
