4H embraced World Book Day whole heartedly and we had so much fun throughout the day. The live draw along with Phil Shepherd inspired us to imagine our own characters and ideas for the front cover of a book. The finished products are so good I need to have a new wall built somewhere so that I can display all of them! Getting comfy with a cushion seemed to be a favourite part of the day as we read more of our key text: The Last Bear. There really is nothing better than sitting back, relaxing and reading or listening to a great story. I’m sure someone fell asleep…no names mentioned!
Don’t forget that your book token can be used for £1 off of a book from our book fair when it arrives!
This week we’re proud to share the beautiful story of UKS2s Expedition from last term ‘Earth Emergency’. The carefully designed planters and greenhouse will surely be a catalyst for Plover growing its own produce for generations to come!
We’d like to thank everyone who has got in touch or left a comment about the programme – we are so proud of our students and how eloquently they expressed how they feel about their school.
Red Nose Day is back and this year we are asking children to wear something red.

Thanks in advance for your support of this fantastic cause.
2P have explored how humans have had a negative impact on our seas and oceans thanks to our need for plastic. We have looked at the history of plastic being found in our waters and how this even extends to discoveries in the very deepest parts of the Mariana Trench. 2P decided that we need this to stop! We have used our research to make posters to make people realise the damage we are doing.
Thank you to everyone who turned up in amazing costumes to celebrate World Book Day. You all looked amazing! We created bookmarks, celebrated our favourite books and continued to read our class story, which we are loving!
Today the children had a great time on World Book Day and they all looked fantastic in their costumes! The children enjoyed our special book day assembly, making their own bookmarks, reading stories and taking part in the Doncaster Draw-Along. A jam packed day of fun!
We had lots of awesome costumes today in 6B and we enjoyed all the book related activities! So proud of my lovely class for smashing assessment week ⭐️
Well done to Paizlee who got our yellow T-shirt this week. Paizlee is an all round super star and an absolute pleasure to teach. She always lives up to our Plover Pledge of; work hard, get smart be kind. Keep being you Paizlee!
