Year 2 Entrance and Exit to School

It has been lovely to see everyone today and to have such a wonderful day!

To make things easier at the beginning and end of the day we would like to make the following changes to our routines.

Mrs Lewis’ class (2L) will enter and exit the building through the side door on the map.

Key info for tomorrow’s colour run!

Dear parents and carers

Tomorrow, 30th August, we will be hosting our very own Colour Run on the school field for KS1 & KS2 (Year 4’s will be on Thursday due to their school trip).  As well as it being a fun event to start our new school year, we hope to raise funds towards a memorable Christmas experience for our children.

The Colour Run will see children walking or running around the school field and at various stations on the track, being showered with safe, non-toxic coloured powder paint, turning their clothes into vibrant masterpieces!

We are kindly requesting a minimum donation of £2.50 from each child.  Should children want to gain sponsors for this event, please use the sponsorship form on the letter sent out before the end of last term.  Prizes will be awarded in each phase for children who raise the most money.

We request children wear an old light coloured t-shirt with shorts or tracksuit bottoms and trainers .  Whilst the paint company states it washes out, we recommend wearing clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting colourful!

Thank you in advance for your support and enthusiasm for this wonderful event. Let’s make the Colour Run an unforgettable experience for our children!

Welcome Back

We hope you have all enjoyed the summer break. We are looking forward to welcoming you back to school on Tuesday 29th August.

Please remember that our new school day (as per below) starts on our return.

8:45am Start of school day (doors will open at 8:40am and close at 8:45am)
3:15 End of school day (the school gates will open at 3:10pm)

Please remember to park cars safely and with consideration for others at drop-off and pick-up times. The roads surrounding school get very busy at these times. When possible, we suggest parking slightly further away from school and walking in. It’s healthier too!

Remember to keep an eye on the school blog next week to see what the children are getting up to as they settle back into school.

See you on Tuesday!
