Keeping our minds healthy for Mental Health day

Thank you to all those children who wore something yellow. This morning we talked about how to keep our minds healthy. We discussed feelings, controlling our breathing, getting fresh air and being good friends.

We got lots of exercise at outside time where we reminded ourselves that fresh air and exercise can help our minds be healthy.

Fine motor practise

We have been using our fine motor skills to put water into our pipettes and transfer it into the coloured duplo blocks and other containers.

Beautiful work in F1

Today we have been practising extending ABAB repeating patterns, and learning how to write our names. I am super proud of how hard everyone tried with these tasks today, there really was some beautiful work and pencil control!

We had a lovely time celebrating our family learning yesterday; making lanterns, painting our diva lamps, making play dough diva lamps, cutting/sticking and doing Diwali colouring.

Lighting our lamps

Today we lit the Diva lamps we made and spoke about how this is a special part of Diwali celebrations.

We used clay and our fine motor skills, to pinch it and manipulate the clay into a diva lamp shape. We then painted our lamps during family learning.

Viewing Your School Photos

We had a great day in school yesterday and the children were fantastic having their photo taken. Next week you will receive an email from our photographer telling you that your photographs are now available in an online gallery for you to view. This system doesn’t have proof cards or letters sent home, you simply receive an email with a link to your online gallery, so please make sure that you look for the email from pics4schools.com (it may be in your junk folder). We will send you a message when the photos are live so that you know to look for the email with your child’s photos. Thank you.
