We’re excited to invite you to Year 5 and 6 Family Learning Chocolate Bingo Event on Tuesday 8th October 2pm-3pm and we are kindly asking for donations of chocolates and sweets please! Please bring in any donations to 6B.
This will be a fun-filled afternoon — a chance to come together with your child, share some laughs, and maybe win a sweet treat or two. Prizes will be chocolate-themed and there’ll be plenty of opportunities for everyone to join in. This will also be an opportunity to support a great cause — all proceeds will go towards raising money for our crew charity, the RSPCA.
We’d love to see as many families as possible joining us.
Together, let’s make this an afternoon to remember — and raise vital funds for our charity at the same time. We’d be very grateful for any donations of chocolate and sweets beforehand.
Keep an eye out for more details coming soon!

What a fantastic start to the school year in our first ever community crew! Our crews went head to head in numerous games to win the title of out first number one crew! We looked at the character trait ‘courage’ to encourage children to be confident in nominating themselves to join in the community crew games.
Superstars!

We are so proud of our first ever character trait badge winners. These two superstars both won the compassion award for raising money for charities outside of school. Harris has raised over £700 for children with cancer and Olivia was so brave when she had all of her hair cut off to donate to the little princess trust. We are so very proud of you both and the compassion you have shown to others. Above, they are pictured with our Cheif Academic Officier- Andy Sprakes who is our compassion champoion.

We have had a great day hooking into our new expedition ‘Coming to Doncaster: why then, why now?’
It was lovely to see all the imaginative Roman costumes and I was so proud to watch the crews working together to crack the puzzles and complete the quest. Well done Crew Graves for breaking the code and opening the treasure chest.
Through our Quest Day, we have learnt facts about the Romans in Britain, used our problem solving skills and shown great teamwork and cooperation.
We are excited to continue our learning this term.

Years 3 and 4 have had a wonderful time in their crews today as we launched our new expedition: Coming to Doncaster: Why then and why now?
They were faced with a range of Roman challenges, from an archeological dig to solving maths questions using Roman numerals. Completion of these challenges proved them worthy of unlocking the chest and joining a side of their choice – the Roman army or a Celtic tribe…

4H have been carrying out simple acts of kindness and asking others to pay this kindness forward. Over the last few days, ‘Pay it Forward’ tickets have been passed around school between both pupils and teachers within the Year 3/4 phase. When a chain of four kind acts had been carried out, the tickets were returned to our basket of kindness.
The baby egg challenge proved to be a great hit! Designing our baby eggs; dressing them and naming them was much more important to the children than I anticipated. They cared for their eggs so well – taking them everywhere with them and putting them down for a nap over lunchtime. Thankfully there was only one casualty – and that was only a very small crack.
The most compassionate moment of the day (in my eyes) was towards the end of the day whilst watching a video about kindness on the screen. Joe looked at his egg and a horrified expression crossed his face! His baby egg couldn’t see the screen so he turned his egg to ‘face’ it!
Keep paying it forward folks – compassion is a wonderful trait to have!

What a beautiful day we have had together. We learned our first letter, m’. In maths, we learned that we can subitise. This means we can say what we can see and not need to count groups of objects to three. We also had our first PE lesson. We learned the rules in PE to keep us safe and how to move around the space without banging into each other. WHAT A DAY! We all agree- your children are amazing and we are so happy to have such a wonderful class of children.
Last week we focussed on character traits! On Tuesday our focus was courage so Nick the bug man from Project Wild came in. We especially loved Charlie the tarantula but we also met Humphrey the snake and a pair of millepedes. Well done 3V you were awesome!
