Viewing your child’s photos

We’ve had a great morning in school and the children have been fantastic having their photo taken. This year there is a slightly different way to see your photos.  In 2 to 3 working days you will receive an email from our photographer telling you that your photographs are now available in a gallery for you to view. This new system has replaced the old proof cards so please make sure that you look for the email (it may be in your junk folder).  We will send you a message when the photos are available to view so that you know to look for the email with your child’s photos. Thank you.

We Care Wednesday Crew Chain

As a crew, we have been thinking hard about what makes a good friend and reflecting on how each of us show this. I have been assured by my friends that I give the best hugs. Other crew mates always include people in their games or help people if the look sad by making them laugh. We have each designed a link to create our own ‘Crew’ friendship chain. I look forward to adding the final product to our Crew board.

Keep on being amazing, Crew Haycock and remember: we all need a great friend to help us through our experiences. You might be that special person for someone who can help them in their time of need. Whatever that need may be.

We are being kind

Well done to everyone who has helped a friend out at some point this week. You are all so kind!

I hope your kindness is paid back at some point and that others follow your great examples of being Crew in the classroom!

We are persevering with dictionary dilemmas!

Finding words in a dictionary can be a tricky skill to learn; but with weekly practice, we are getting there. Some children are even ready to take on ‘Haycock the Hustler’ and compete to be the quickest to find all of our Speedy Reading key words.

Can any one beat my record times? Who’s up for the challenge, 3H?

We are building our skills

3H have been working really hard to build their understanding of different grades of pencil and the variety of effects that can be made by them. They’ve also improved their use of a range of shading teachings in preparation for the creation of their final products.

Well done everyone, keeping looking and working hard!

We are enjoying our paired reading

Kyryl and Raegan have really enjoyed reading to learn more about World War Two together every Tuesday morning. Their faces say it all…look how happy and engaged they both are!

Well done boys, you make a great team. I wonder what facts you can remember?

Y3/4 Football Semi Finalists

Unlucky to our Y3/4 footballers today at Owston. They finished a creditable 4th out of 8 schools. Running out of steam after being 1-0 up in the semi-final.

Plover’s players of the tournament go to – Angel for her brilliant goal against Norton and Evanas for working hard in every game, showing some brilliant bravery and skills. #LovePlover
