We have been working hard this afternoon using clock faces to show the time. We are confident with o’clock and half past and are becoming more accurate with quarter to and quarter past the hour. Great work today 3H.

Year 6 have been learning about the mining strike this afternoon. They have learned about the many different reasons that people might go on strike. We then looked specifically at why miners went on strike. The children then thought of something they felt passionately about and made their own placards about this. #LovePlover

Today, Y3&4 had a visit from Mrs Poncia. She spoke about her experience of the FishLake floods. The children came up with some excellent question to ask her at the end of the session.
Yesterday, Y5 pupils visited the Doncaster Rovers football stadium to play in a friendly, memorial tournament. Well done to everyone who participated, we played our best.
Cars, trains, fire engines, police cars, buses, ambulances!
The children built different vehicles this morning with their families. They folded, stuck and painted and made some fantastic models. Thank you to all the families that took part.

We have been learning about different vehicles and talking about which ones are our favourite.
Have a look at the bar chart. What can you see?

3H have had a fabulous week. From feelings, to fractions to fossilisation, we’ve worked hard to build our background knowledge! We have even weathered rocks, making sediment that we placed into layers and compressed to make sedimentary rock. Then we ate it! It’s a good job we used Fruitella to represent the rocks that we weathered!

Keep working hard folks; I’m so proud of you all this week!

We have had a mathematical day today! We’ve been making equal groups and then doing repeated addition using our knowledge of counting in 2s, 5s and 10s. It’s been brilliant! We’ve all enjoyed finding answers, using manipulatives. It’s been hands on- just how we like it! 👍
Well done Lola for remembering all the numbers as you counted today. You are a superstar.
