Coal Mining Museum

Year 5 had a fabulous time at the National Coal Mining Museum, touring the site of a real coal mine (Caphouse), learning about all the processes and history of the site from TC – our tour guide with over 40 years’ experience working in the industry.

It was great to hear that our groups were the best behaved their guide had ever led through the tour – you represented the school brilliantly!

F2BP Pride of Plover

Well done to Charlotte for showing determination and resilience this week in her learning. We loved how she persevered when things didn’t go well. Well done Charlotte.

African day

F1 have enjoyed learning all about Africa today. We had lots of fun tasting the orange cake and juice we made yesterday, using African instruments, doing African dancing and African colouring. Thank you to all the parents that supported us by sending their child dressed up, everyone looked amazing.

F2 Pride of Plover

Well done to Alicija and Arya for earning our Pride of Plover certificates this week. Both girls have been working really hard in phonics and in their writing. They have been superstars.

Playing with water

We had so much fun playing with water today. The children collected, poured and tipped and at the end, watered the plants and trees. We hope that there will be apples on the tree.
