We were learning the painting routine in F2 today. In F2BP we used the colours that we had mixed to paint “t”, the letter of the day.

Both children who were chosen today have gained in confidence this week. Carter has settled into his new school really well and is working really hard. Kara has been speaking lots more and showing her confidence by talking infront of others. They have both been superstars.

We have been practicing directional language and have been using the road signs in the vehicle area to help us. The children have been using forwards, backwards, turn, up, down and across. We need to practice left and right.

F2BP have been superstars today sharing, taking turns and helping each other. In crew, we talked about acceptable and unacceptable behaviours and the children were able to say what they had done today that was good behaviour. Many of them said sharing, taking turns and helping each other. Well done crew!

Whilst learning our school rules, F1 have also been looking at our new school character traits and what British values are. We can’t wait to explore these deeper in the coming weeks.

On the second day of Crew Week, 4B were learning all about the character trait “Craftsmanship and quality”. We used demonstrated this by creating and critiquing drafts of a poster about our school charity the RSPCA. After several attempts, we produced some beautiful work which we are proud to display in the classroom.

Today we have learnt how to keep our bodies healthy, by learning to wash our hands. We used glitter to represent germs and practised washing our hands thoroughly using soap. We noticed that if you just dip your hands in the water the germs don’t come off, you need to soap to wash them properly.
We learnt the song “wash wash wash our hands, wash our hands all day. Wash wash wash our hands, wash the germs away”.

In nursery we have been exploring colours and colour mixing. We painted our hands two different colours, then made predications on what colour it would turn when we rubbed them together.
