We have had a lovely first day in F2. The children have made new friends and have been showing us what they can do.

We have worked so hard in Year 3 and 4 this term and I am so proud of the beautiful work that has been produced.
We have written lovely poems and high quality disaster stories and this ended with a celebration night at XP school, where we performed our work to an audience of parents and carers.
An amazing aspect to our work is our activism, and I am very pleased to say that we have raised over ÂŁ100 for the Disasters Emergency Committee Charity, through the sale of our postcards.
Please watch our celebration video and enjoy.

Thankyou to all our amazing families who joined us at our celebration of learning yesterday. The children really impressed me with their outstanding behaviour and engagement throughout our celebration. A special thank you to everyone who brought their vehicle for our children to enjoy. What a fabulous morning it was!

There were lots of happy faces today enjoying an ice pop treat. These are my superstar readers who have improved in their reading. They enjoyed cooling down with an ice pop.
Keep it up everybody!

This week, Year 2 have been artists. They have been exploring the work of Peter Thorpe, who specialises in space-themed artwork.
Today, some of Year 2 have used pastels to create their first piece of artwork inspired by Peter. They have been learning how to do key techniques such as blending.

As part of our end of year treat the children chose a building kit. Today they worked together to assemble it. They also created story books and worked together to tell the stories.

3H have acted out being solids, liquids and gasses. Then they found out what it was like for a sound wave to travel through these different states of matter. I wonder if your child can tell you which state a sound wave will travel through quickest: a solid, a liquid or a gas? Can they take it a step further and tell you why this is?

Well done 3H. What a day full of scientific fun!

Well done 4F, you performed some beautiful performance poetry. We focussed on using different facial expressions, body language, tones and volumes to create dramatic, suspenseful effect.
4F enjoyed looking at lines of symmetry in maths. Fantastic work everyone!
