For our family learning, we produced banners to inspire action around climate, joined our Year 3 and 4 classmates, then took to the streets in protest.
Well done everyone – your activism will inspire others.

It was lovely to see all the costumes on Thursday for World Book Day – I like to see how many books characters I can guess.
In 3GS, we enjoyed drawing some of the characters from the World Book Day £1 books. Phil Shepherd gave us some great tips and we produce some very good pictures.
In the afternoon, we watched with pride as Atlas represented our class in the Danum Read Aloud competition school final – he did very well, but was pipped to the post by Johnny in Year 5.
We all got our book tokens at the end of the day that we can spend in bookshops to buy the £1 book, or to have money off another book. We can also spend them at the school book fair starting on 14th March.

Year 6 worked scientifically this afternoon to decide whether a range of materials were soluble or insoluble. They made predictions and then reflected on what they had learned. #LovePlover
As part of our product the children have designed and made a gingerbread man. They had lots of fun decorating them. They are looking forward to eating them too.

Big shout out to Atlas and Rufus for reaching the Danum read aloud final. You were both amazing! Everyone is so proud of you!
We had a fantastic day celebrating world book day. Thank you to everyone for participating in the live draw along, and having a go at the Where’s Wallys challenge. In the afternoon, we enjoyed listening to the Danum read aloud finalists.
As part of World Book Day, 1C completed a virtual draw along with a local illustrator, Phil Shepard. The children worked hard to create their own superhero called Donny Dog.
Once the illustrations were completed the children used Animated Drawings to turn their drawings into mini cartoons.
Thank you to everyone who turned up in amazing costumes to celebrate World Book Day. You all looked amazing! We created bookmarks, celebrated our favourite books and continued to read our class story, which we are loving!

Today the children had a great time on World Book Day and they all looked fantastic in their costumes! The children enjoyed our special book day assembly, making their own bookmarks, reading stories and taking part in the Doncaster Draw-Along. A jam packed day of fun!
Thank you to all the parents and carers who supported World book day. The children were very excited to talk about their characters. We had some characters that went together eg Jessie and Woody, Hanna and Elza, Alice in Wonderland and the Queen of hearts.
There were some fantastic “books in a box” too.
In assembly this morning, all the children sat beautifully and listened to information about the day.
Well done F2P.
