One of the things that we need to get better at is cutting. Today we practiced our skills and made faces. We talked about what was the same and different.

Today we celebrated with Maria and Rahaf. Both girls have grown in confidence since starting F2 and have been working hard. They are good friends to other children and help them too. They have been working super hard in phonics.
Well done Maria and Rahaf. We are proud of you.

This week we have been learning about compassion. We have learnt that we are all different and we can all do different things. To celebrate we had a ‘this is me’ paint party which started with us dancing to the song This Is Me, from The Greatest Showman, before doing our colour run. Keep your eyes peeled for a video over the coming weeks.

This week we have been very busy collaging milk bottles to create our own Elmer elephants. We used our motor skills to independently spread the glue onto the bottle, chose which collage pieces to put where and used coloured eye stickers to stick either side of the trunk. We read the Elmer story together and discussed what patterns we could see.

So proud of these two. Their work ethic today has been exemplary. They have drafted and re-drafted their SPaG work today after leading their own learning and using our SPaG revision site to support building their knowledge. These superstars have all demonstrated courage this week. Some children have been courageous and stood at the front of the class to show their working out to some of our tricky maths questions, some children have shown courage and took on the lead role in our arithmetic coaching lesson and one child was very courageous and used his voice to remind his friends they were making the wrong choices.

F1 have been exploring chalk and paint in different way today to create patterns. We used a variety of different tools such as cotton buds, brushes, toothbrushes and sponges. We laid on our tummies whilst doing this to work our stomach muscles, and practise our gross motor skills at the same time.
